Dr. Aflatooni owns Gold River Smiles, a general practice in Gold River, California. Dr. Aflatooni is the immediate Past President of the Sacramento District Dental Society, a member of the CDA Board of Managers, and has held multiple leadership positions throughout ADA, CDA and SDDS. He is F.A.C.E.-trained and is a fellow of both the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.

He went on to join the Maxillofacial Surgery staff at Kaiser Oakland before opening private practice. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2007.
