Ray Irving, Professional Practice Sales:

Professional Practice Sales was established in 1966. The firm was visionary as no firm beforehand specialized in the brokerage of professional practices.

Ray is a fifth generation San Franciscan. After attending UC Berkeley, Ray commenced his career in the appraisal and sale of professional practices in1975 joining his father Henry. Per Ray’s partnership with Henry, brother Dan and his wife Edna; the Irving Team has concluded the sale of approximately 2,000+ practices. Combining this with PPS’ Southern California office, Professional Practice Sales has concluded 4,000+ sales.

Ray’s experience reflects sales of practices with revenues streams from $50,00 to $33.1 Million and sales concluded to individuals, growing groups, large health care organizations (such as Sutter Health), growing companies prepping for their initial public offering and public companies. Ray’s experience is unique as he understands how the dental profession is evolving per his experience in other healthcare disciplines and he understands first hand the mind set of equity players and how the large corporate deals are structured. Overall, the dental profession is extremely viable for those who wish to be in private practice!

Tim Giroux, DDS, Western Practice Sales:

Hailing from the greater Chicago area, Dr. Tim Giroux established his own dental practice in Scottsdale, Arizona, upon graduation from Creighton University, School of Dentistry in 1983. Relocating to Northern California with his wife, Mona Chang, DDS (LLUSD ’84) upon selling his highly successful practice after 15 years, Dr. Giroux brings a unique perspective and personal experience in dental associateships, practice start-up, sales, and work-back situations to serve and assist you during your exciting transition! Dr Giroux writes the widely-read monthly “Ask the Broker” feature, is a regular contributor to Dental Economics, has been a Featured Speaker for CDA, as well as providing numerous dental transition presentations.

Closing over 1500 dental transitions, Dr Giroux has been the owner/broker of Western Practice Sales, the premier dental practice broker throughout the Western US since 2001. He is also currently the President of ADS Transitions.
