This course will provide you with an understanding of what the Dental Board of California looks for when investigating a complaint, the top mistakes made by practitioners and techniques to make sure you’re following the laws, rules and regulations of the Dental Practice Act. Ms. Lane will review real life examples to help you understand what a violation is.

Course Topics:

  • Learn useful information regarding violations of the Dental Practice with real life examples.
  • Understand what a violation of the Dental Practice is and what the Board looks for when they investigate a complaint.
  • Take the lessons learned and apply them to your practice.

Presented by: Theresa Lane – Former Chief of Enforcement, Dental Board of California

Theresa Lane holds bachelors degrees in Criminal Justice and Sociology from California State University, Fullerton. She has over 29 years in law enforcement experience and has spent the last 24 years with the Dental Board of California where she has recently retired as the Enforcement Chief. During her career, she has investigated 100’s of complaints, made numerous arrests and cases she has investigated have been featured on several investigative reporting television shows.
