Is your head spinning with all of the news reports about wage and hour changes in not only California but at a Federal level? Ours too! In addition to running your office, as a California employer you must also understand our great States’ wage and hour laws and how decisions made at the Federal level have an impact on you as well. Join our HR Hotline experts, the folks from the California Employers Association, and participate in a lively discussion about:
- New FLSA changes and what that means for your exempt/salaries employees (and your pocketbook!)
- The Pro’s and Cons of instituting an Alternative Work Week schedule
- Understanding the difference between exempt and non-exempt employees and why that is more important than ever before
- Who qualifies as an independent contractor and how expensive it can be to misclassify them
- Frequently Asked Wage and Hour Questions
