Navneet Arora, DDS, MPH, DABP

Dr. Arora is a full-time clinician with practice limited to periodontics and implant dentistry and is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry. In 2008, he finished his Certificate in Periodontics from Eastman Dental Center at University of Rochester Medical Center. He lectures on various topics of Implant dentistry, treatment planning, bone grafting and soft tissue management techniques.

Wade Banner, DMD

Dr. Banner is a California board-certified dentist and dental consultant for House Call Dentistry. He received his degree from Western University in Pomona, CA in 2014, after which, he started In Motion Dentists. From 2014 – 2021 his practice provided exclusively comprehensive house-call dental services for those who could not get to the dental office. In July 2021, he also opened a brick-and-mortar location in La Verne, CA that provides dental services to everyone looking for quality dental care with an emphasis on seniors and those with special health care needs. Dr. Banner has also held several roles in organized dentistry at the local, state and national levels.

Kara Bean, Solutions Consultant Engineer, RCM; Henry Schein One

Kara Bean is a solutions consultant engineer at Henry Schein One. Her career in dentistry began over 27 years ago when she started as a dental assistant. Quickly, she transitioned into an administrative role. Working in a dental practice provided her with the foundation for her journey in the dental industry. In 2005, she became a certified software trainer and practice management consultant before joining the team at Henry Schein One in 2021. Today, she specializes in revenue cycle management processes for the Dentrix, Dentrix Ascend, and Dentrix Enterprise platforms, collaborating with the Henry Schein One teams and dental organizations to streamline operations and enhance financial performance.

Greg Campbell, DDS

Dr. Campbell graduated from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. He completed advanced training in Cosmetic Dentistry at UCLA. Dr. Campbell is recognized nationally and internationally as an expert on Advanced Adhesive Dentistry. Dr. Campbell has written numerous published articles. He is an active member of the ADA, CDA and the Harbor Dental Society.

Jamie Collins, RDH-EA, BS

Ms. Collins is a licensed hygienist in both Idaho and Washington.  With over twenty years in the dental field, it has led her to be involved in many aspects of patient care. She has been awarded the ADHA Trailblazer Award twice and was the first recipient of the ADHA Standout Seven Corporate Hygienist Award in 2022. Jamie has also contributed to multiple textbooks, curriculum development, and is a key opinion leader for various companies.

Jeffrey Delgadillo, DDS

Dr. Delgadillo is a native of Sacramento serving the community as a full scope oral & maxillofacial surgeon at Heise, Alpha & Delgadillo OMS. Dr. Delgadillo graduated from the UCSF School of Dentistry and completed oral surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. While serving on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Delgadillo served on code and intubation teams while responding to life-threatening hospital medical emergencies. He is adept at handling medical emergencies in the dental office with confidence and precision.

Ann-Marie DePalma, CDA, RDH, MEd, FADIA, FAADH, FADHA

Ms. DePalma is a graduate of the Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists and the University of Massachusetts. Ann-Marie is an Esther Wilkins Distinguished Alumni Award recipient. She has written for dental and dental hygiene publications. She is a consultant hygiene examiner for the national dental/dental hygiene competency assessment organization. She has been employed as a software trainer and on dental hygiene faculty after having been employed in clinical practice.

Brian DesRoches, MHA, MSC, MBA, Ph.D., LMFT

Dr. DesRoches has provided individual coaching, consulting, and workshop facilitation for the dental profession for over thirty years. He is also in private practice as a psychotherapist. His innovative approach to patient communication, practice leadership, and teamwork integrates the latest neuroscience with practical communication and self-management skills.

Nancy Dewhirst, RDH, BS

Ms. Dewhirst graduated from the University of Southern California, practiced dental hygiene for 20 years, is adjunct dental hygiene faculty at West Coast University, and is a member of Sigma Phi Alpha.  She is Editor In Chief of OSAP’s ICIP newsletter and has had numerous articles published.   She is consistently listed as one of the nation’s “Leaders in CE”, and presents over 100 seminars a year at major U.S. and Canadian Dental Conferences.

Gwen Essex, RDHAP, MS, EdD

Dr. Essex is the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at California Northstate University College of Dental Medicine. With nearly thirty years of experience in dental education, Dr. Essex is a passionate speaker who excels at breaking down complex topics and creating a fun learning environment. An RDH/RDHAP, Dr. Essex shares her enthusiasm for prevention and patient empowerment with all who care to listen.

Lisa Greer, Dental Benefits Analyst; California Dental Association

As the Dental Benefits Analyst with the California Dental Association, Ms. Greer specializes in supporting members on dental benefit plan-related topics including dental plan audits, dental billing, claim denials and dental plan contract analysis. Michael Kulwiec, CDT

Mr. Kulwiec attended the University of Southern California, graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 1979, with a major in Business Administration and Social Science. He grew up in the dental lab field—his father, Len, was also a technician and lab owner. Mike earned his CDT in 1982. He has published and lectured internationally on lab management and dental technology. He successfully developed two other dental businesses, both of which were sold to NASDAQ-listed companies.

Mr. Krohn has had an entrepreneurial spirit from a young age: he started working on computers with his father when he was 14 years old and started his first company when he was 18. Dr. Marion is a Pediatric Dentist working at The Spot for Smiles in Elk Grove and Folsom. He received his DDS from the University of the Pacific, followed by a GPR at St. Barnabas Hospital, and a Pediatric Dentistry Residency at the University of Washington in Seattle. Dr. Marion served as the Director of Pre-doctoral Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Illinois Chicago prior to returning home to California. Matt Nelson, Practice Analyst; California Dental Association

Allen Ali Nasseh, DDS, MMSc

Dr. Nasseh received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery degree from Northwestern University Dental School and completed his postdoctoral endodontic fellowship at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where he also completed a Masters in Medical Sciences degree in the area of bone physiology. He is Senior Clinical Instructor and lecturer at the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterial Sciences at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Nasseh is the president and Chief Executive Officer for Real World Endo® and lectures internationally on endodontic topics.

Shannon Pace Brinker, CDA

Ms. Pace Brinker is a national and international speaker and published author. She has been a full-time practicing dental assistant for more than 25 years. She is an active member of the AACD, and the first auxiliary to sit on the AACD Board of Directors; and was awarded the AACD Rising Star Award. Ms. Pace Brinker was selected one of Dentistry Today’s Top 100 Clinicians. She was also selected as Dental Products Report’s 25 most influential women in dentistry and Dr. Bicuspid’s dental assisting educator of the year.  She has written more than 300 articles about clinical applications and has a current column in Dental Product Reports for team evaluations of dental products and materials. She has started one of the first online platforms designated for dental assistants called the Academy of Chairside Assisting.

Mehrdad Razaghy, DDS

Dr. Razaghy’s extensive background in research began in 2014 when he spent a full year focusing on multiple projects in the field of neurosurgery. He was part of six major publications at David Geffen School of Medicine of UCLA with a focus on spinal cord diagnostics and motor dexterity. His journey in dental research began by joining Dr. Pascal Magne’s research laboratory at Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC. Since then, alongside teaching, he has been part of multiple research and clinical projects under close mentorship of Dr. Pascal Magne. Together with his mentor, Dr. Razaghy has contributed to various books, journals, publications, and educational modules in the world of restorative and biomimetic dentistry.

Theresa Sheppard, RDA; Theresa Sheppard Solutions

Ms. Sheppard is a Registered Dental Assistant, speaker, consultant, and author. She is a California Radiation Safety Course and CE Provider, founder of Care 2 U Oral Care Administrative Services, a nonprofit organization that provides portable oral care services to those without access or means. Theresa is a member of many professional organizations including the Academy of Dental Management Consultants, SCN, AAOSH, and others.

Colby Smith, DDS, MAGD

Dr. Smith is a board-certified general dentist currently practicing in Granite Bay, CA. An area native, he completed his doctoral and residency training at the UCLA School of Dentistry. Dr. Smith was an Associate Clinical Professor and the AEGD Residency program director at UCLA for nearly ten years. Dr. Smith is also a Kois graduate and an active member of several academies, including the ADA, CDA, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Academy of Operative Dentistry.

Jamison Spencer, DMD, MS

Dr. Spencer is the director of Dental Sleep Medicine for the Center for Sleep Apnea and TMJ, in Boise Idaho and Salt Lake City Utah.  Dr. Spencer has personally treated thousands of patients with sleep apnea and TMJ problems, and now focuses on helping dentists help their patients with such problems. He is the Past-President of the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain (AACP), a Diplomate of the American Board of Craniofacial Pain, a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, a Diplomate of the American Board of Craniofacial Dental Sleep Medicine and has a Masters in Craniofacial Pain from Tufts University. He taught head and neck anatomy at Boise State University, and is adjunct faculty at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. Dr. Spencer lectures throughout the United States and internationally. Dr. Spencer created Spencer Study Club, an online education, mentoring and implementation program to help dentists and their teams help more of their patients with sleep apnea and TMJ disorders.

Gayle Suarez is a practice and team development coach. She founded Dental Management Solutions, Inc. in 1997 after a successful clinical and administrative dental career. She has passionately served dentists and teams in 30 states and over 100 cities. David Trent, DDS, MD

Dr. Trent is a dentist, physician, and fellowship-trained pediatric oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He is a staff surgeon as well the Chief Medical Officer at Kids Care Dental and Orthodontics. He is academically active as an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCSF in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery serving as an attending surgeon at UCSF Children’s Hospitals in San Francisco and Oakland, California. Dr. Trent attended the University of California San Francisco for his Doctorate in Dental Surgery and the University of California Davis for his Doctor of Medicine. He attained his residency training in General Surgery as well as Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UCSF; completed advanced training as surgical fellow in Pediatric Cleft and Craniofacial Surgery at the Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital in Orlando, Florida; and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. 

Alessandro Villa, DDS, PhD, MPH

Dr. Villa is the Chief of Oral Medicine, Oral Oncology and Dentistry at the Miami Cancer Institute. Dr. Villa specializes in treating oral mucosal and salivary gland diseases, oral precancers and oral complications from cancer treatment. He also serves as a Professor at the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, Florida International University. Prior to joining the Miami Cancer Institute, Dr. Villa was an Associate Clinical Professor of oral medicine and head and neck surgery at University of California San Francisco. He also directed the oral medicine residency programs and oral oncology fellowships at UCSF and Harvard. Dr. Villa’s research focuses on oral dysplasia, and oral complications from cancer therapy. He works closely with several organizations to reduce the burden of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) related cancers. Dr. Villa has authored more that 120 peer-reviewed articles published in medical and dental journals and several book chapters.

Travis Watson, Compliance Consultant; Abyde (SDDS Vendor Member)

Mr. Watson is Compliance Consultant at Abyde and is an experienced educator on HIPAA & OSHA compliance. Rashidah Wiley, DDS

Dr. Wiley attended dental school at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee then completed a one-year AEGD at Shasta Community Health in Redding, California. She completed her oral pathology residency at New York Presbyterian, Queens. She worked as an Assisting Clinical Professor at the University of New England, an Assisting Professor at the University of Kentucky and a dental instructor at the Carrington College Dental Hygiene Program and was a clinician at Lifelong Pinole Health Center. Mr. Zamansky has been with Dentsply-Sirona for over seven years, he is highly specialized in restorative training in two of the most practiced workflows of any general dental practice: Class II fillings and Single Unit Crown.
