HR Issues – For Doctors Only!
2 CEU, 20% • $75 Member Price
This course will focus on HR and employment issues, the laws and the complications that arise if you aren’t on top of the “rules.” Do you pay overtime? Should you? If you don’t, do you know when you should? What if a patient’s treatment takes a few minutes of overtime, what should you do? Do you know the rules about laying off employees, and what procedures you need to follow when you do? What if an employee goes MIA? If you don’t follow the rules and the laws by the book, you may be in for an expensive surprise! Even if you have a small number of employees, managing the personnel side of your dental office can be just as complicated as managing a large corporation. Join us for an informative training which will cover the biggest and most expensive mistakes dentists can make when managing their offices. Other topics that will be included, but not limited to:
- Leave of Absences and how much time you really have to give someone (hint, it can be a lot)
- Overtime and why you must pay for every extra minute they work (it adds up quickly if you don* ’t!)
- Rest and meals periods – and why we suggest you make them take every single one (How about paying someone an extra $18,000 because they missed their lunch)
