5:00-7:00pm – Program
There has been increasing interest over the last several years in using teledentistry systems to reach people who are not having regular dental care. The current COVID-19 physical distancing requirements have accelerated this interest. This program will describe the development of teledentistry in the oral health industry, specific recommendations for staying in touch with patients and providing dental care in the current environment, and considerations for using teledentistry to enhance dental practices as we move into the post-COVID world.
Participants will be able to:
- Describe a variety of ways that teledentistry has been used in the delivery of oral health care
- Discuss the trends in expansion of use and adoption of teledentistry in oral health care
- Explain how teledentistry can be applied in the current COVID-19 physical distancing environment to stay in touch with patients and provide and organize oral health care
- List some ways that teledentistry may help practices reach and provide oral health care for more patients as we move into the post-COVID world
