The General Dentistry Grant Treatment Fund was established in 1995 to help provide comprehensive care to the “working poor,” specifically those children and financially disadvantaged adults in our community who do not have insurance and do not qualify for any other assistance.
PATIENT ELIGIBILITY:
Children and financially disadvantaged adults may be considered for a grant when referred by an SDDS member dentist. The patient must be an existing patient of the practice.- Patient must not be covered by Denti-Cal, Healthy Families or any other dental coverage.
FINANCIAL ELIGIBILITY:
Patient's adjusted gross income must be below $40,000
APPLICATION PROCESS :
- Applications are accepted from SDDS member dentists on behalf of their patients throughout the year and eligible applications are reviewed quarterly by the SDDF Board.
- Final approval of an application is made by the SDDF Board.
