CROWNS FOR KIDS UPDATE!
More info available HERE

Sacramento District Dental Foundation (SDDF) and SDDS member dentists have provided more than EIGHT MILLION DOLLARS in free dental services to children in the Sacramento area through the Smiles for Kids program. Additionally, SDDF has been able to provide much needed treatment to the general population, the elderly and other children’s needs through the Foundation grants and the Helen Hamilton Orthodontic Fund. The Foundation Board is asking you to continue in that spirit of charity to kids by participating in CROWNS FOR KIDS™, a scrap crown recycling program.

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:

1.) Contact SDDS to express your interest (916.446.1227).

2.) SDDS will send you a jar to fill with crowns.

3.) When you have a few crowns collected (jar DOES NOT need to be full!), call Star Refining (209.594.5200) for a pick-up.

4.) Star Refining will detemine the value of your crowns, and donate to SDDF's Crowns for Kids program.

5.) Sacramento area individuals in need will benefit from those funds!

IT'S A WIN-WIN-WIN!

CROWNS FOR KIDS UPDATE!
June 1, 2010

We are headed for a phenomenal total on our Crowns for Kids gold refining program for Smiles for Kids - thanks to the doctors who have participated.

For a program still in its infancy, currently 100 doctors have donated gold and we've raised $70,000!

This month we are trying to round up everything: all jars, loose gold, half jars, full jars, even if you have only ONE crown, that will work!

Please email us if you have some, or call the SDDS Office 446-1227 and we will have it picked up ASAP! Our goal is $100,000 by 2011 and it looks like we may exceed that.

So, please call us - any gold is a benefit for our program and our Foundation.

Thanks, in advance, for your help!
